What is a Hydrafacial?
A HydraFacial is a cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating treatment using a specialized device that works like a vacuum with vortex suction to extract impurities and dead skin cells from the skin.
After your skin is cleansed & exfoliated, serums are infused deep into the skin helping to restore it. Glowing results are visible immediately after a treatment and can address concerns related to wrinkles, elasticity & firmness, enlarged pores, and oily skin among other skin care benefits.
Essentials offers three packages for HydraFacials, each with unique benefits:
Signature HydraFacial

Deeply cleanse, extract, and hydrate the skin.
Beta HD is used to decongest the skin with vortex suction, then saturate your skin with antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid – YES, PLEASE!
The strength of the Signature HydraFacial’s Glysal Prep step is 7.5 % Glycolic and 1.5% Salicylic Acid. Want a stronger peel step? Move up to the Deluxe HydraFacial.
All treatments include either Red LED Light Therapy to further reduce the visible signs of aging, or Blue LED Light Therapy for reduction of bacteria on acne prone skin.
Deluxe HydraFacial

Benefit from HydraFacial’s boosters & add on protocols. If you are looking for a more intense HydraFacial, the Deluxe HydraFacial’s Glysal Peel step is 15% Glycolic and 1.5% Salicylic Acid (2x stronger than the Signature HydraFacial).
For maximum strength you can eventually work up to the Glysal Peel MD which is 30% Glycolic Acid and 1.5% Salicylic Acid (4x stronger than the Signature HydraFacial).
Want more exfoliation than the Signature HydraFacial? Microdermabrasion with the wet diamond tip is part of the Deluxe protocol.

Your treatment begins with Lymphatic Drainage Therapy to your face and neck.
This part of the treatment is like the cupping techniques you may be familiar with from your massage therapist, but without the bruising. Lymphatic drainage encourages the detoxification process and increased circulation.
The platinum treatment includes everything customizable in the signature or deluxe, with your choice of ANY booster serum.

How long do the results last from a Hydrafacial?
You’ll likely be hooked after your first HydraFacial, and your skin will be radiant after just one treatment, but like many good things, the results from a HydraFacial will fade and most clients like to come to Essentials Medi Spa every 6 weeks.

Your results will be visible after just one treatment, but continued HydraFacial treatments are highly recommended to maintain skin health results.

Avoid the use of Retin-A/Retinol products for a minimum of 2 weeks pre-treatment.

Aggressive exfoliation, waxing and products containing acids should be avoided in the treatment area for a minimum of 2 weeks pre-treatment.

You may experience tingling and stinging during the treatment area. These sensations generally subside within three hours of treatment.

Your skin may experience temporary irritation, tightness, or redness. These are all normal reactions that typically resolve within 72 hours depending on your skin sensitivity.

Client experiences may vary. Contact us immediately if any unusual side effects occur or if symptoms worsen over time.

You will likely see results immediately after treatment and your skin will feel smooth and hydrated for one to four weeks. For improved, longer lasting results, consider take-home products and packages of HydraFacial treatments. Our monthly GlowGetter Membership offers additional savings, but there is a wait list.

The treatment area is more susceptible to sunburn, sun damage, and hyper-pigmentation so avoid direct sun exposure and use a minimum SPF of 40 sunscreen.

What to expect from a HydraFacial
HydraFacial is the only hydra-dermabrasion procedure that combines cleansing, vortex extraction & hydration simultaneously, resulting in cleaner, more beautiful skin with little to no downtime.
