Aesthetic and Medical Conditions & Concerns
At Essential Medi Spa we give you confidence by educating and working with you to build the best treatment plan suited to your specific goals.
Reduce breakouts and manage your mild, moderate or severe acne for an even toned complexion by working with our specialists at Essentials Medi Spa.
Our team at Essentials knows first-hand how important our acne treatments are for renewing your confidence. There are four different grades (severity) of acne. This means there are multiple treatment plans which are determined during a consult. Our treatment plans improve blemish prone skin, starting with at-home care products. Our medical grade skin care systems, AlumierMD, ZO® Skin Health and DMK are great to use daily to prevent breakouts.
If your treatment plan is more complex, it may include advanced corrective in-office treatments like the ones listed below.

Are you struggling with acne scars? Acne scarring can consist of discoloured skin, red marks, and deeply pitted or “ice-pick” scars. We know that those scars can impact your confidence and we understand it is a frustrating skin issue for anyone experiencing it. If your treatment plan is more complex, a combination of advanced treatment options may be utilized on older scars to begin to show improvements.

As you get older, your skin progressively becomes more fragile and less full of vitality (collagen/eslastin). Your natural oil production diminishes and so, the appearance of dryness and wrinkles become more visible.

Cheek, jawline and chin filler help sculpt and provide more definition in those problem areas. We lose definition, structure, and volume as we age, and our genetics can also effect whether those areas are well-defined or more on the weak side.
Whether you desire a more distinct masculine jawline for an appearance of strength or a clearly defined angle to make your face appear slimmer and more refined, our Aesthetic Nurse Specialists at Essentials will help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Visible lines, wrinkles and loose crepey skin are all things we experience through the aging process. You may have more severe skin laxity due to a combination of factors like genetics, diet, weight loss, lifestyle, sun exposure, stress or if you smoke. Collagen and elastin are two parts of your skin’s structure that are diminished as you age and your skin begins to lose elasticity which results in the loose or sagging skin.

The best candidates for hair loss rejuvenation treatments are men or women who have just begun to lose hair. If you are already bald, or you have the expectation that your hair will return to its former glory, sadly this treatment won’t offer those results. But, we can help delay baldness and help prolong and maintain your hair’s natural growth cycle.

Reduce jaw muscle pain (bruxism), clinically referred to as tempormandibular discorder (TMD). This can be caused due to clenching or grinding your teeth. Sometimes we suffer almost in silence with this, but if someone has ever told you that you grind your teeth at night, or you wake up with headaches or temple pain, Bruxism may be what you are experiencing. You can learn more about bruxism here.
This treatment has a side effect of slimming your jawline so some clients choose to treat their jaw for aesthetic reasons as well as medical reasons.

Achieve your aesthetic goals with facial sculpting at Essentials Medi Spa. Kara and Kelsey can provide non-surgical enhancements or augmentations of the lips.
Your lips are one of the most expressive parts of your face. Our lip fillers are all a form of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and vary in firmness/ viscosity, which means that our nurse injectors are able to predict and control the fillers and determine where volume or definition needs to be enhanced. The injections are given gradually during different appointments until your desired results are achieved. Are you unhappy with your facial filler from another location? We keep Hyaluronidase in stock at all times and can dissolve the filler.
The results are not permanent, but are longer than our other, less invasive treatment options with laser or our HydraFacial machine.

If you look a bit tired even when you aren’t, then it may be time to consider a treatment for under eye circles. Under eye filler with an infusion of vitamins is an instant way to refresh the look of this area. If injections to the under eye area seem like something you would be uncomfortable with, then there are two less invasive options as well. The laser treatments by Dalyce target dark circles or the Perk HydraFacial treatments can revitalize and rehydrate this delicate area.

Hair, hair, everywhere there’s hair! No problem, our advanced laser specialist can help with permanent hair reduction for men and women.
Our hair removal treatment is one of the best, thanks to our GentleMax Pro machine that uses a Dynamic Cooling Device that sprays cryogen onto your skin a fraction of a second before each laser pulse. This cooling ensures that your comfort is paramount during the laser treatment and that there is no need for slimy gels or cold packs. It’s such a quick and easy treatment that offers you long-term results!
Peach fuzz or pale white hairs? The laser hair removal treatment cannot target hairs that have no pigment, so in those cases, for hairs on the face, we recommend dermaplaning or DMK alkaline wash facials.
